A Night On The Tiles

A north London Priest spent 10 days and nights living on his church roof in Camden Town in a desperate bid to raise £100,000 and save the building. From Thursday 29th June until Sunday 9th July 2006 Fr. Malcolm Hunter lived like a homeless person and slept on the church roof. Through a vigorous PR campaign by Media Ambitions £110,000 was raised. Press Coverage secured was international, national and regional, examples include the Sun, Times, Daily Telegraph, Evening Standard, Metro, GMTV, BBC News 24, Bloomberg, NBC Today Show in America, NBC Australia, Moscow Television, BBC London, ITV London Tonight, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 5, Sky Radio, Capital Radio, LBC, Big Issue, Time Out and various Church media. Media Ambitions was also responsible for producing the event.

Fr Malcolm Hunter says “There are sometimes when you realise that things are just too big for you. We realised 'A Night on the Tiles' was a venture we needed to do - we just did not have the time or the skills to do it. We quite simply handed it across to Liz and Vicki to carry out and deliver whilst retaining control with regular meetings. We are extremely grateful for all the dedication, understanding, advice and competence which not only raised the funds we were desperate for, but raised the message across London, this country and the world with their expert handling of the media. We thoroughly enjoyed working with them and are deeply thankful for all they did for us and maybe it speaks volumes that we still now retain contact with each other as friends!”
