Mouth Cancer Awareness Walk

Cancer can occur in any part of the mouth, tongue, lips, throat, salivary glands, pharynx, larynx, sinus, and other sites located in the head and neck area. These mouth cancers have a higher proportion of deaths per number of cases than breast cancer, cervical cancer or skin melanoma. To raise awareness for the work of the charity the Mouth Cancer Foundation employs  the services of Media Ambitions to produce their annual free 10K sponsored walking event in London’s Hyde Park.  Since the first walk in 2006, the event has grown from strength to strength in both terms of numbers taking part and also sponsorship monies raised by walkers for the charity, which now earns the Mouth Cancer Foundation in the region of £30,000.  Monies raised are used by the charity of support people and relatives dealing with head and neck cancers.

Founder of the Mouth Cancer Foundation, Dr Vinod Joshi said “The Mouth Cancer Foundation commissioned Media Ambitions to organise the first official Mouth Cancer Walk in Hyde Park, London. Everyone remarked on how well organized and enjoyable it was. We are all now looking forward to the next Mouth Cancer Walk. The organisation and PR services were great. Liz, Vicki and Flora were all extremely pleasant to work with. We have no hesitation in re-commissioning and recommending Media Ambitions.”
