Mouth Cancer Awareness Walk
Cancer can occur in any part of the mouth, tongue, lips, throat, salivary glands, pharynx, larynx, sinus, and other sites located in the head and neck area. These mouth cancers have a higher proportion of deaths per number of cases than breast cancer, cervical cancer or skin melanoma. To raise awareness for the work of the charity the Mouth Cancer Foundation employed the services of Media Ambitions to produce a 10K sponsored walking event in London’s Hyde Park on 19th November 2006. The walk is taking place again on Sunday 14th October 2007.
Founder of the Mouth Cancer Foundation, Dr Vinod Joshi said “The Mouth Cancer Foundation commissioned Media Ambitions to organise the first official Mouth Cancer Walk in Hyde Park, London. Everyone remarked on how well organized and enjoyable it was. We are all now looking forward to the next Mouth Cancer Walk. The organisation and PR services were great. Liz, Vicki and Flora were all extremely pleasant to work with. We have no hesitation in re-commissioning and recommending Media Ambitions.”
